WHAT IS POWDER COATING?
POWDER COATING is a dry coating process predominately used as a finish for metal on a wide variety of products. Applied as dry powder through an electrostatic process, then cured with heat. It is well known for providing high-quality finishes in terms of both functionality and overall look.
An electrostatic powder coat gun is used for the application process. By imparting a positive electric charge on the powder making the powder accelerate towards the components through the electrostatic charge. The pre-treatment of items to be powder coated either manual / chemical bonding process strengthens the powder coating.
A smooth finish on hard to paint surfaces can be achieved, that is durable and cost effective. A wide range of powders are available, with colours and finishes only the imagination could beat. Environments are catered for from high heat, marine usage, indoors, external, residential, and industrial.
